The City Manager is the chief executive officer of the city, prepares the budget, directs day-to-day operations, and serves as the Board's chief policy advisor.
Administration
Administration works with the City Manager and Assistant City Manager on projects and policies, develops the budget with department directors, manages public relations through social media and the City website, and maintains the Municipal Building, the Mount Airy Public Library building, and the Andy Griffith Playhouse.
